Registered Nurse
Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center offers a variety of pay and benefit plans to meet the varying needs of the Registered Nurses we employ.
Most Registered Nurses at Good Samaritan work our traditional scheduled shifts of Day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), Evening (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) or Night (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). But there are several opportunities to work 12 hour shifts in Med/Surg, Critical Care and Emergency Department. Typically, our fixed shifts do not require rotation. Pay is based on total RN experience and reflects up to 15 years of service.
Graduate Nurses may apply for Tuition Forgiveness up to a $10,000 paid out over a two year period to defray costs of outstanding loans and debts.
You can elect to participate in one of two Highmark Blue Shield health plans, with modest premium copayments not exceeding
10 % for the highest option plan for full time associates. (Part-time associates pay a higher percentage for themselves and dependents.) The plans offer comprehensive benefits through a wide network of providers, and opportunity for self-referral to specialists of your choice, and the convenience of mail order prescriptions. Other benefits include employer paid long-term disability, life insurance and retirement plan.
Nurses who have no need to enroll in these benefits, may wish to work in our In-House Agency Pool. The flat rate for this option is $39.00 per hour.
Registered Nurses may also work in our Per Diem Pool which pays an extra 10% for evening or night shifts and a bonus of $5.00/hr. for weekends.
No mandatory overtime is required of GSRMC Registered Nurses (except, of course, in case of disasters or severe weather).
Good Samaritan affords nurses the opportunity to work in a union free environment which enhances strong partnerships in delivering care to our patients.
We individualize the Orientation/Mentoring Experience to assure nurses have a smooth transition to our work environment.
Below is a listing of current job opportunities at Good Samaritan for Nurses, but special arrangements may be available to meet your scheduling needs. If you wish to have a tour of the facility and speak with a member of the Nursing Leadership Team, please call 570 621-4064.
