As a way to connect seniors with the health resources they need most, Good Samaritan is now offering a senior membership program to Schuylkill County seniors, age 60 or better. Good Sam for Seniors is a free membership program that promotes an active, healthy and independent lifestyle. Joining is easy. There are no dues to pay or meetings to attend. All membership benefits are available "cafeteria style." That means members can consider the services and programs offered, then choose only those that fit his or her needs. The goal of this program is to let seniors know that Good Samaritan is their partner in good health.
Good Sam for Seniors benefits include:
- A low-cost hot supper in Seton Gardens Dining Room. Here is how it works:
- Call 570-621-4901 to hear the weekly menu for the Good Sam for Seniors Meal of the Day. The Meal of the Day will include: choice of hot entree; potato, rice or pasta; choice of vegetable; small coffee or fountain beverage.
- Visit Seton Garden Dining Room on the Medical Center's first floor during supper time, 4:30 - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Select the Good Sam for Seniors Meal of the Day.*
- Present your Good Sam for Seniors membership card to the cashier.
- Pay $3.50 for your hot meal a 40% savings!
- 10% discount in Seton Gift Shop
- Newsletter to inform you about menus, upcoming events and new offerings.
- Special Health Screenings and Programs for Leg Pain, Stroke, Diabetes, Fall Prevention, Colorectal and Skin Cancers, and many more.
Register for Good Sam for Seniors
Interested seniors can register for Good Sam for Seniors by calling 621-4900, between 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Your membership card and first newsletter with information about our upcoming clinics and screenings will be mailed to you promptly.
*Any food or beverage items selected beyond what is on the Good Sam for Seniors Meal of the Day will cost extra. No substitutions are allowed to the Meal of the Day.
