X-Ray

Good Samaritan offers basic X-ray services at two locations: Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville, and Good Samaritan Health Center North, Frackville. We utilize a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) for our x-rays. Images are no longer placed on film, but are digitized and can send via the internet or placed on CD-Rom disks. One of the benefits of PACS is that it allows physicians to share information and consult with specialists anywhere in the world across a secure network. PACS leads to better and more timely care because once an x-ray is taken it is digitized and available immediately.
