Good Samaritan is pleased to offer Digital Mammography in a newly renovated mammography suite.  The mammography unit is accredited by the American College of Radiology and the FDA. The mammography technologists are registered the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. The Hologic Digital mammography unit offers the latest in digital technology. The digital images also use CAD technology, a sophisticated screening tool that assists radiologists in breast cancer detection. CAD provides a computerized second review of mammograms. The review process draws their attention to potential areas of concern that may indicate the presence of cancer. Good Samaritan’s mammogram professionals also work with local surgeons in performing breast biopsy procedures.
